The Youth Opportunities Bank would like to inform everyone that we have changed our name to NPT Youth Bank. The application process will be the same and you can still apply for £50- £500 to help support your project if it meets the criteria. In addition 14 and 15 year olds are now able to apply for a grant as we have changed the age applicants can apply from 16-25 to 14-25. The next deadline will be Friday 29th June 2012.

NPT Youth Bank is run by young people who provide grants of £50 – £500 to fund young people’s activity ideas in their local community.

Do you have what we are looking for?

Your activity will create/support opportunities for young people to volunteer.
You must be aged between 14 and 25 (although your activities may benefit young people outside of this age range).
You must be a group or individual living in Neath Port Talbot.
Your activity must benefit your community.
Your activity should provide new skills and/or experiences for young people.
You must be willing to evidence your completed project (photographs and written details).

A second round of the Youth Opportunities Bank in 2010-11 has just taken place with six projects having been funded.

First Deadline of 2010-11

Neath Port Talbot Youth Opportunities Bank received a great number of applications for its first deadline of 2010 on June 30^th. Since then the panel have been meeting on a regular basis to analyse the applications, score them against the criteria and decide which projects should be funded. It was decided a total of seven projects would be funded allocating £3368.66. If you are interested in applying to the Youth Opportunities Bank the next deadline is October 29^th 2010.
